My name is Dan. My son-in-law and a friend joined me to fish for Striper and Catfish yesterday 10/12/2025 from 1 to 5 PM. We had a blast. Our guide also named Dan worked hard so we could set the hook and pull in the fish. Dan was so attentive to our fishing experience that he non-stop baited hooks, fixed broken off hooks, searched for the fish, drove the boat and eventually filet’d our catch. This trip was our third time we used Guaranteed Guide Service (GGS) for our striper fishing trip and like the previous two times we were not disappointed. Our guide, Russell, was able to put us on fish despite the lake only beginning to begin to return to normal conditions after excessive rainfall had made the water muddy, a condition not conducive to good striper fishing. We had excellent action at two spots with all four of us getting hookups. We all had a great time and especially my oldest boy who turned 50 on the day before our trip. Yes fishing was tough on this trip but Chris and Russel did every thing they could to get them to bite. We were marking plenty of fish but the case of lock jaw took its course Even though we didn’t limit out we all had a great time.
