Striper fishing is good on live bait on main lake ledges and humps in 20-40 fow.
Fish are still moving fast and have plenty of shad to choose from. Small slabs in 8-15 fow on shallow flats for small stripers and sandbass. There is still random surface action going on morning and evenings.
Catfishing is good near baited holes on punch bait fished near the bottom in 18-25 fow.
The backs of creeks along flats and near deep water for channels. Blues are stacked in 40-50’ ditches on whole threadfin and cut shad. Big blues will be roaming the deep flats soon 50-65 fow drifting whole gizzard shad and rough fish.
Crappie are on the brush piles and in docks.
But we’re still seeing a lot of smaller fish. Jigs in 12-18 fow using electronics to locate active fish in the brush. Bigger crappie are roaming near creeks and stumpy flats.
Largemouth and smallmouth fishing it took a nice bag to win the tournament this last weekend.
Both species contributed to the anglers successes. Fish are off the banks 8-12 fow on brush and structure. Electronics are key to find brush on Texoma. With so much bait in the lake fish won’t have to pull up as shallow.
