Striper fishing for better quality fish is getting hotter as water temps cool further into the 50’s.
Swim baits and sassy shad early are catching bigger fish on structure 10-20ft. The deadstick bite is really taking off, drifting flukes 50-65ft of water. Live bait with medium-large gizzards is still catching fish on Main lake points and ledges 25-40ft of water.
Catfishing in the deep water is starting to produce more big fish.
With the water temps continuing to fall, 40-60ft of water on deep flats drifting large cut baits.
Crappie fishing will continue to improve.
As the water temperatures have fallin into the mid 50s and the crappie start to settle in on structure and brush piles in 20-30ft of water.
Bass are starting to settle into more of a winter pattern.
Look to find them feeding and hanging on shallower structure and flats on sunny days, and hanging a little deeper off the banks on main lake points and structure on the cloudy days.
