Striped bass are biting swim baits on structure 10-20ft of water have been the ticket the last week.
As well as finding the large groups of birds working over more active fish and drifting along with them while casting and retrieving through them. Live bait and dead sticking have slowed with the weather in a warmer pattern the last couple of weeks and the fish stuck in a holding pattern but are still producing some fish from 35-60ft of water.
Catfishing Drift Medium to Large cut baits is producing eater size and larger catfish in 40-60 ft of water.
The fish are a little more scattered so patience is key, find an area where your marking fish, set up a good drift, and stick with it.
Crappie are holding steady on structure in 15-20ft of water as the water is holding consistently in the 55 degree range.
Jig size and color will vary day to day so have some options in the tackle box.
