Striper fishing is good, it’s an inconsistent bite with the full moon peaking this week and rain in the forecast.
Look for stripers to finish up their spawn and start to come back hungry. Drifting live shad and swimbaits 15-25 fow on flats and off river ledges. Be on the lookout for gulls and loons giving up the easy fish in deeper water.
Crappie are biting under docks suspended 2-4 ft under the floats and above structure.
Jigs and minnows are producing, mo-glo is the go to for spring with clear water conditions. Look for dirty warmer water in creeks as fish move up.
Catfish are moving up in coves & creeks.
Cut shad in 5-20 fow near the ends of the lake where the muddy water will be. Channels are about to get fired up on our baited holes as well.
Bass are moving up as the water temps rise and the shad spawn kicks off across the main lake.
Top waters early and hard baits late in the backs of coves and on main lake points in 4-10 fow. The live bait smallmouth bite is firing up!
