Spring fishing is here!
The striper fishing is really starting to come alive with warmer water temps and fresh water from recent rains coming into the lake. The live bait bite has been good 25-35ft of water on flats and main lake ledges. Casting swim baits into groups of active feeding fish has been good as well in 20-30ft of water.
The crappie bite is really starting to come alive.
On shallow structure 10-15ft of water, and suspended under docks. Live minnows and jigs have been both producing bites.
As the water is warming up the catfish are moving shallower,
On the flats and up into coves, cut shad has been producing good fish. The shallow channel cat bite is about to really take off.
Bass are beginning to move shallower,
On rocky banks and feeding early with the shad spawn starting to kick off. Top waters early and hard baits such as crank baits as the morning progresses.

We had an amazing time on our fishing trip! As a group of six adults, we were looking for a fun and relaxing day out on the water, and this trip delivered beyond our expectations.
